LOOKPOST: The Denim Jean

Hey you beautiful people!

2015 is finally here! New beginnings, opportunities, and the beginning of the end! I hope you are all as excited for what this year has to offer as I am. Hopefully you are all well rested after vac and are ready to grind and kick butt this year! I'm feeling quite overwhelmed by the thought of being in Matric this year after last years matrics results were released (WELL DONE MATRICS 2014) and stressing over the many many obligations that I have this year, but I'm also so excited to start the final chapter of this schooling life and move on to bigger and better things.

Even though I am so exhausted from vac (can you imagine lol) I had to visit my blog and share how I would take a denim jean from day to night before my lovely vac is over and its back to standard clothing, ponytails and smartboards. I am working on making my blog more interactive with my readers (yes, I see you) so if you ever have anything you like, dislike or you just wanna say hey please don't be shy, run up on those comments lol. ALSO I recently jumped on the band wagon and made a FB page for Ya Girl, so you can catch me there too (link) - And with that, lets jump right into it...

#1 Daytime Golden:

Okay, so firstly let me just say that I am obsessed with these jeans! And now you're probably thinking 'why though? they are just a plain pair of high-waisted jeans'. Nope. For me, affordable and nice jeans are the hardest thing to find because of my body structure, I know many other girls go through the same struggle. They always tend to fit the bottom then are huge on the waist, which can end up looking awful. These jeans were such a find and they are so comfy too! I also added some DIY elements and cut the knees to give them a more edgy feel. I chose to pair the jeans with just a plain black cami from Mr Price which is really easy to pair with any item of clothing.

To keep this look casual I'm wearing a checkered dark green and black shirt which I also bought from Mr P a while back. I love these shirts because if ever it gets too hot you can simply take it off and wrap it around your wait and still look super cool and edgy. The gold shoes are a great finish to the outfit and are super airy and light to wear in summer.

 #2 Nighttime Siren:

I chose to add more black into my nighttime outfit to give the look a more dressed-up feel. I am wearing my lovely black oversized blazer from Forever 21 with the white interior and I also chose my suede platforms from Forever 21. I kept the rings on because rings are staples from day to night. This look is great for a late lunch or dinner with the girls (or bae) or just a relaxed night time function.
